Anything that comes of production lines of any company has some uses and drawbacks, uses maybe more but drawbacks still exist; such is the case with a GE Ceramic Cooktop. These wholly man made cooktops have electric coils and manufactured clay which is resistant to heat and hardens the cooktop.
Energy efficiency, among many others, is the biggest advantage this cooktop offers. Its surface is flat, completely opposite to the old fashioned gas and oil stoves. The flat surface enables the heat to distribute more properly and easily which saves energy. The off and on switch has taken energy efficiency one step further.
Old fashioned stoves have to be cleaned by scratching and rubbing the grease formed on top but ceramic stovetops have eliminated this hassle. Flat surface brings the ease in cooking together with cleaning. These cooktops can be cleaned in minutes with just a wet cloth and hot water or spray.
The flat surface this stove has, contains some disadvantages as well. You don’t know which plate is still hot after putting the burner off. This can cause some serious injury to any one and necessary precaution should be taken to avoid any.
Since the cooktop Is heat resistant, it does not heat quickly which can cause delay in cooking of larger meals if the stove is used commercially, or in serving the guests. It can take unusually long time, as compared to gas and oil stoves, to get heated properly and then cook the food.
GE Ceramic Cooktops are the most convenient way to cook today. Though they may have some disadvantages but they will give your kitchen a more modernized look and kitchen will look more sleek and stylish. If these ovens get better in quality with betterment in technology, they will gradually out class all the old fashioned stoves.
