Great Country Decorating Ideas

Friday, July 31st, 2009
by Marion Jones

For us who live in the country decorating ideas are not hard to come by. Personally speaking, I find that lots of my inspiration derives from the world around me. When I say that, I don’t mean to imply that I use the most obvious aspects of the country around me, only that if you look hard enough you’ll always find a subtle mixture of country decorating ideas that you will be able to incorporate into your own stylish home decor.

Doing your home up with country decorating ideas is great but if you don’t make it blend in naturally with your surroundings your house will stick out like a sore thumb intruding upon the glories of nature. Haven’t you ever looked at a house in the country and thought to yourself: how beautiful and peaceful it was, and how much you’d really like to live there?

Have you ever wondered why this was so? Without a doubt, it was for its simplicity and elegance, along with the fact that it blended in so well with its environment. If you live in the country, you’re probably not sure what I’m talking about and you are wondering why I mention it.

Maybe you’ve lived in the country all of your life and you really can’t see what is so special about the old country decorating ideas and homes that blend in with nature. After all, a country house is much like any other house that you’d find anywhere else. Or so you might think.

Well, I think you’d be wrong on that count! Country houses are a sight for sore eyes for those people who have been living in a concrete jungle. So, if you’re fortunate enough to have a house in the country enjoy the it.

When you own a home in the country decorating ideas should be flooding into your head nineteen to the dozen and with only a little planning on your part, you can make your everyday country home into a cozy country retreat.

The only drawback I’ve found with this so far is the number of ideas I get from my surroundings. That might not sound like a bad thing, but trust me, there’s not much worse than having country decorating ideas pouring out of your fertile mind with almost no pause and not being able to implement them all.

However, when this flow starts to happen, I just lie back and let it take over me. I’ve always found that there is no use fighting against the inevitable, although a little dreaming never hurt anyone. If the ideas I’ve had are really amazing and grip my attention, I write detailed notes about what I’ve dreamed up.

So, the you have it, no matter whether you want to change your home into a country residence, or whether you just want to spruce up the house you already have with country decorating ideas, the inspiration should be easy to come by and just as easy to put into place. A country home is the right place to be to implement your country decorating ideas and relax from your fast workday life.

Coping with Dry Skin

Dry skin is very often sensitive too, which only makes it harder to care for. Dry sensitive skin feels tight because of the deficiency of natural oils and has a tendency to develop small expression lines that will eventually evolve into wrinkles. Moreover, this kind of skin makes one more exposed to allergic reactions, rashes, capillaries breaking and sudden flushes. Therefore, the taking care of dry sensitive skin proves quite a challenge at times. It is worth mentioning the fact that it affects people regardless of age, colour or gender.

You need to follow stringent rules in your choice of cleansing, moisturising and make-up products when you have dry sensitive skin to take care of. First of all, you need to reduce the amount of products you put on your skin. The fact is, the more chemicals you come into contact with, the higher the chance of getting rashes. The products ought to be perfume-free and hypo-allergenic so that you don’t get red, irritation blotches. Blusher and foundation can present some difficulties for dry sensitive skin.

Try not to put on too much make-up in order to permit your skin to breathe adequately. When you are shopping for make up, other than looking for the hypo-allergenic label, you should also try to ensure that they are oil-free. Furthermore, foundation and blusher should be water-based because they don’t clog your pores. Moreover, oil-absorbing foundations are not recommended for dry sensitive skin, because they will make your epidermis even drier.

It is also not to be recommended that you use exfoliants or astringent products on dry sensitive skin because they can irritate the thin upper layers of skin. The same thing must be said in relation to cleansing – too frequent washing of the face means eliminating the natural oils that lubricate the skin, which will produce accelerated dryness.

Furthermore, the day-time moisturiser ought to have an incorporated SPF (sun-protection factor) of at least 15. However, although you may like sunbathing, dry sensitive skin doesn’t really permit you to enjoy such outdoor pleasures.

If you have dry sensitive skin, don’t expose it to the sun in order to tan it, because you will only achieve premature ageing and possibly even fairly serious health problems. And last but not least, a warning must be given that you should change some of your cosmetic products for other ones along the lines mentioned above.

If you decide that you want to change to a different skincare brand, it is very important that you test the product on a small section of skin in order to test whether it triggers any allergic reactions.

Thinking of Re-decorating Your Bathroom or Kitchen?

For people who seem to have it all or for the people who are bored with their lifestyle, there are a few things that they can do to spruce-up their lives. Perhaps one of the best ways though is to begin redecorating one’s house. Two of the first places you should consider redecorating are your bathroom and kitchen.

These are usually the most overlooked and most used rooms in the entire house. Think about it, have you redecorated at least even one of these rooms within the past five years? The answer is probably going to be no. In which case think back to the last time you even looked closely at your bathroom or kitchen other than to clean them.

More than likely, if you noticed anything at all, you put the notion off until a future date when you could devote more time to refurbishing your bathroom or kitchen, although at that time, the place probably didn’t look as bad as it does now, after all, the years soon mount up and even though you’ve been keeping it spotlessly clean you can’t stop the steady progress of time.

The chances are that if you were to take a closer look now, you’ll find that the curtains are looking a might drab and ragged around the edges, as are the bathroom rugs. And let’s not even talk about the soap dish. It is quite true that they don’t make them like they used to, and with very good reason too!

So, you should do yourself a favour and throw out all that unused clutter in the bathroom and get yourself some new stuff – you will be surprised at what lovely things you can find nowadays. Anyway, you’ve probably been eyeing that beautiful new bathroom set you noticed in the mall for some time, so at the very least now you will have a good reason to go out and splash out on yourself.

And while you’re at it, don’t forget to buy that lovely new spice rack you saw for the kitchen and a few mats that can be used in either room. Ideally, they should be resistant to such everyday occurrences like water spillage, soap, oil grease and all the other things that somehow seem to become embedded on your carpets.

But, if you’re looking for some new ideas on decorating your bathroom or your kitchen, there are a number of resources you can get your inspiration from. The best one I’ve found so far are the catalogues, which you can read until you find what you’re looking for.

With all these options, you could even swap something that is less expensive for the items you see in the catalogues. This then, is the best way to get your decorating projects started and to keep yourself amusingly busy for some time to come and to transform your tired old bathroom and kitchen into new and sparkling areas.

Therefore, you should keep all copies of letters you send or letters from your creditors. Also, if you own a credit card, and they try to force you to pay debts on damaged packages, remember that it is illegal in America for anyone to try to force you to pay for damaged goods, if you did not cause the damage yourself.

The Internet can be an equally good source of debt consolidation information, but not everyone has a computer or is competent at using it and debt is such a personal and often embarrassing subject that many people would be reluctant to ask someone to assist them search the Internet for debt consolidation information.

Debt consolidation is usually a long process, but if you get the right debt consolidation information, you will find a way to relieve your debt gradually and you will eventually reap the benefits of your efforts when you finally become debt free.

Debt Consolidation and Reduction

So, you can see the writing on the wall now, you are in too deep and your creditors are starting to ring you at home in the evenings as well. You are aware that you have to do something, but you don’t know just what. It’s so embarrassing talking to the kid from the debt collection department, especially over the phone, but you don’t want to take time off work to go down there either! But you can’t wish the problem away either. You think that you need to look into debt consolidation and reduction.

However, before you rush into debt consolidation and reduction loans, take a look at your debts to work out your total exposure. Debt is a source of credit lines given to you by creditors who felt that you would repay the sum borrowed or owed. When creditors realize that you are behind on your repayments, they will often delay a couple of weeks before informing the collection agencies.

During this time, you ought to contact your creditors and ask for an extension of time, a balance reduction, or even a complete termination of the debt. Creditors do expect to get their balance and therefore, they may extend your credit, since they want to avoid the problems that arise when reporting customers for a default on payment.

Creditors do not really want to make enemies of their customers, because they expect their customers to show good faith and pay the debts and eventually continue doing business with them. If you fail to contact your creditors, however they will hand your files over to the collection agencies in the end if they have to. These agencies often use much heavier tactics to recover the money owed.

These agencies will try almost anything to stress you so much that you will go all out to find a method to pay up, or else stress you so much that you need to seek professional assistance. Debt consolidation and reduction is one of the methods of eliminating debts; a loan may or may not be needed.

When you do talk to your creditors, ask them for leniency, so that you can attempt some kind of debt consolidation and reduction by reducing your expenses. If the creditors agree to debt consolidation and reduction by lowering your payments, terminating it, or else providing you with an extension and you refuse to take advantage of their offer, ie, if you fail to make repayments after the offer is made, then they will not be as cooperative the next time you speak with them.

Ensure that you repay your debts as agreed with your creditors to minimize any further complications. Communication is extremely important, because if you have ceased negotiations with your creditors, they have every justification to go all out to retrieve the debt. This will assist you in your debt consolidation and reduction.
