Vegetable Biryani Traditional Indian Food

Step One: Firstly, you are required to prepare Capsicum cubes, French Beans (cut into small pieces), Carrot cubes, Potato cubes, Peas and Cauliflower cubes. In a pan boil these vegetables with salt for about 9 mins.Once the vegetables are cooked, drain the water and keep it separately in a big bowl. Cook the Mushrooms and add in with the vegetables. Add celery into the vegetables.

2nd step: You should grab your unsweetened yogurt, ginger, grated onions, garlic, turmeric, and curry powder and blend them together. Just remember to mix them together so that all ingredients are well spread around. Grab a spoon and spoon your mixture over the vegetable mixture. Allow everything to marinate in a cool place for about 2 hours. Hopefully you can tell that this dish will take quite some time to prepare, but is definitely well worth the wait.

3rd Step: For cooking the rice, first take a thick bottom pan and put butter into it. As the butter melts, add in the onion (sliced) and let it cook in medium heat for about 5 mins.Once they have become golden brown color, remove the pan from flame. For garnishing separate some of the cooked brown onions and reserve it. In a large pan cook the rice with water for about 9 mins.After the rice is cooked drain the water and keep aside.

4th step: Now take the marinated vegetable and add it to the cooked brown onions. Cook the vegetables for close to 10 mins.Take a big casserole dish and put in atleast half of the cooked rice into it. Over the rice, place a spoonful of cooked vegetables. Again on top of it put the residual rice and cover the dish. In a preheated oven cook the biryani at 375 degree for about 25 mins .Once cooked remove from the oven.

Take a serving plate, and put the biryani into it. Garnish with the golden brown onions and cilantro. Your Scrumptious Indian Vegetable biryani is ready to be eaten. Now its time to enjoy the food. Enjoy!!!

To prepare this, you will require three-fourths lb of satsumaimo, cut into cubes; half cup of sugar, a cup of all purpose flour, one tablespoon of shiratamako flour, and 2 tablespoons of milk. Douse the satsumaimo in water for 15 minutes. Drain and sprinkle sugar, setting it aside for 30 min. Drain it again, this time keeping the liquid, adding in the flour and shiratamako. Mix up and add in milk. Throw in satsumaimo cubes, obtain a spoonful of dough and place on parchment paper. Steam for ten minutes, let cool, and serve up.
